About Us

BORDERLINE

Borderline takes its name from the Alberta / British Columbia border area that runs along the Great Divide of the Rocky Mountains. Our horseback adventures are located in and around the World Heritage Sites of Mount Robson Provincial Park and Jasper National Park. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the area, our experience in conducting multi-day Rides into the wilderness of this truly remote region, and our mountain horses who are born and raised here. We offer friends and guests a chance to relax, to learn new skills, and above all to enjoy themselves in the backcountry

HORSES
The mountain horse, sure footed and able to forage in the wilderness, will be your companion. These horses are special and can teach an experienced rider much. With instruction from your guide and wranglers, new riders will leave the trail confident in their ability to handle a horse. Many of our horses were born and raised here living life on the range. Bloodlines include Quarter, Appaloosa, Arab and Thoroughbred. Our horses are trained for use with a snaffle bit and we use comfortable western riding saddles complete with saddle bags.

MEALS
Hearty meals are prepared over open campfires by our specially trained cooks. Great care is given to ensure the quality and freshness of all products used in the preparation of your meals. Special dietary considerations are welcome upon request. All camps are stocked with a healthy supply of grain, to keep our horses in top shape and form.

THE RIDES
Food, equipment, and personal belongings are divided among the packhorses and carried along, as the group rides from camp to camp, leaving the riders free to enjoy the scenery. Our maximum group size of six guests will include; two guides, a cook and 15 to 20 horses depending on the length of the Ride.
